Shout3D
From the Shout3D 2.0 Specification: "The Shout3D 2.0 Specification is composed of a very lightweight set of 3D scene elements and programming interfaces upon which a wide variety of 3D applications can be built. While it is based on the VRML 97 specification, borrows some wording, and relies on the same spiritual foundations, Shout3D 2.0 specifies a much smaller set of requirements, and adds powerful tools for programming and extensibility." Shout 3D was a proposal for Core X3D and is a feel for how core X3D is intended to work. Most impressively, it is implemented in pure Java. |
